Temporary Protected Status (TPS) is now open for eligible Cameroonians
On April 15, 2022, the Department of Homeland Security announced the designation of Cameroon for Temporary Protected Status (TPS). Only individuals who were already living in the US as of April 14, 2022, will be eligible. A country is designated for TPS when conditions in that country fall into one of the following categories: ongoing armed conflict, environmental disaster, or extraordinary and temporary conditions. TPS designation is for 18 months, from June 7, 2022 to December 7, 2023. Eligibility requirements include continuous residence since April 14, 2022 and physical presence since June 7, 2022.
