Ashley Hendricks Duck

Ashley Hendricks Duck is a partner at Chhabra, Gibbs & Gustavis, P.A., where she became a partner in 2024. She handles personal injury cases, including car wrecks, 18-wheeler crashes, work accidents, premises liability, and wrongful death, along with workers’ compensation claims and mass tort cases.

Ashley is from Crawford, Mississippi. She earned a B.S. in Psychology, cum laude, in 2006 from Mississippi State University. She received her law degree from Mississippi College School of Law in 2012, where she served on the Moot Court Board, received the American Jurisprudence Award in Pre-trial Practice, and was inducted into the National Order of Barristers. She also served as a legal extern for the Honorable Melvin J. Priester of the Hinds County Court.

She is admitted to practice in all Mississippi state courts, the Mississippi Supreme Court, the U.S. District Courts for the Northern and Southern Districts of Mississippi, and the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida. She is active in the Mississippi Association for Justice, the American Association for Justice, the Capital Area Bar Association, the Magnolia Bar Foundation, and the Mississippi Women Lawyers Association.

Ashley’s appeals in the Mississippi Supreme Court and Court of Appeals go back to 2014. They include Reynolds v. Allied Emergency Services, P.C., a Mississippi Supreme Court case about a settlement deal that set a minimum and maximum payment no matter what the jury decided, and a request for a new trial; and Howell v. Equipment, Inc., a case over a worker’s fall from a scissor lift. Her earlier published opinions list her as Ashley L. Hendricks.
